Join the central lake celebration! To truly experience Sun Moon Lake, you must participate in the popular stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) activities on the lake. Watch the sunrise or sunset together and leave the most memorable moments in the beautiful Sun Moon Lake. Welcome to sign up for SUP with us. 

In the morning, walk along the Maolan Mountain Trail, and if you are lucky, you can see the magnificent sea of clouds! The tea gardens along the trail are planted with newly developed tea varieties. Reach the Sun Moon Lake Weather Station to overlook the vast view of Sun Moon Lake, set against the backdrop of the Xiluan Mountain.

Seasonally limited, if you happen to be here in April, we highly recommend going out for a walk after dinner, enjoying the twinkling lights as the sky gradually darkens. After the firefly season, you are also welcome to participate in the hotel's evening activities. Be sure to inquire about the firefly situation first!

The Toushe Basin also has a sea of daylily flowers. Starting in May, the whole area is filled with colorful daylilies, which is a sight to behold. In addition to flower viewing, there is also a bamboo rafting experience that rivals that of the Sihcao Tunnel. Quickly plan a fun and picturesque summer trip to enjoy the daylily flower feast.

Enjoy the surrounding mountains and gentle breeze as you take in the panoramic views of Sun Moon Lake from the 1.8 km long Sun Moon Lake Ropeway. This is one of the most popular sightseeing activities among travelers, offering a romantic and picturesque experience akin to a scene from a TV drama.

You can park your car at the parking lot near the entrance of the Neihu Mountain Trail. Walk down to the Youshui lane and then back up to the parking lot to complete a full circle.  During spring, the trail is filled with blooming cherry blossoms. and During spring and summer, you can also enjoy the view of fireflies.

Spend a night at the Owl Hostel and start your hike to the summit of Shuishe Mountain the next morning! The beauty of the pristine forests, breathtaking panoramic views, majestic bamboo forests, and refreshing mountain trails are the reasons why hikers repeatedly trek to Shuishe Great Mountain.

Enjoying the lake on pedal boats is a great way to experience Sun Moon Lake and feel the freedom of being out on the open water.

The Xiangshang Bikeway that no foreign traveler should miss is the one that was once named by CNN as the world's most beautiful bikeway! You should not miss the stunning views along the way if you come from afar.

Located next to Sun Moon Lake near Puli in Nantou County, the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is an amusement park connected to and accessed by the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway.

Mt.Jinlong with an elevation of about 820 meters, offers breathtaking views of sunrise, low-lying clouds, and iridescent light without visitors having to trek a long distance. The best time to see the sea of clouds on Jinlong Mountain is from October to March of the following year, especially after rain in the afternoon or evening. 

In addition to the scenic cycling trail, the Ita Thao Lakeside Trail is also a great way to get close to Sun Moon Lake and take a leisurely stroll along the lake. Along the way, the reflections of fishing boats and mountains create a dreamy atmosphere that will make you want to stay forever.

Crossing Sun Moon Lake, this is the quickest way for travelers without transportation. While listening to the captain's guided tour, you can quickly immerse yourself in local culture without doing much research.

There is a rich diversity of primary forest and ferns that cover the mountains and valleys here, making it feel like you've stepped into the Jurassic era. Once you reach the deepest part of the forest, you'll realize that all the hiking has been worthwhile.
